For Rinnai Aoyama, we designed the spatial signage system and directed its installation. To extend Rinnai’s long-standing philosophy of shitsujitsu-gōken—integrity, simplicity, and uncompromising craftsmanship—throughout the space, we considered not only visibility and functionality, but also the relationship between signage, architecture, and materiality.Stainless steel was chosen as the primary material, with restrained forms and carefully resolved details creating a refined presence appropriate to the character of Aoyama. Beyond the design itself, we examined every aspect of fabrication and installation, from positioning and construction methods to the precise integration of each element with the architecture.The result is a signage system that does more than communicate information: it becomes an integral part of the architecture itself, quietly expressing the philosophy and character of Rinnai through space.
